Privacy Policy

TODO before publishing: this is a plain-language draft reflecting what the site actually does today, not a lawyer-reviewed document. Have it checked (or run through a reputable privacy-policy generator like Termly) before treating it as your real compliance posture — especially if you ever add analytics, ads, or start getting traffic from the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), none of which this draft accounts for.

What we collect

If you submit a contractor review, we collect the name, shop/company name (optional), star rating, and comment you provide. This is stored in our database (Supabase) and is not sold or shared with third parties.

If you subscribe to email updates, we collect your email address and store it in the same database. We use it only to send you new reviews/guides as we publish them — it's never sold or shared with third parties, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe. [TODO: once you pick an email-sending tool (e.g. Resend, Mailchimp, ConvertKit) to actually deliver these updates, update this section to name it — subscriber emails will also live in that tool, not just Supabase.]

We do not currently require accounts or logins to browse the site or use the comparison tool.

Analytics and cookies
