Affiliate Disclosure

This site makes money, in part, through affiliate partnerships with some of the software companies we review. If you sign up for a tool through a link marked #ad, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.

What this does and doesn't change

We only link tools we'd actually recommend to a shop like the ones described in our About page. Whether a tool has an affiliate relationship with us has no bearing on our verdict, pros, or cons — those come from real hands-on testing or genuine industry experience, not from who pays us. A tool with no affiliate program at all can still get a strong recommendation; a tool with a generous commission can still get a lukewarm one.

How to tell what's an affiliate link

Every tool page shows the current status of our relationship with that company — whether we've applied, been approved, or don't have one at all. A link is only ever labeled #ad once an affiliate relationship is actually active, never before.

Contractor reviews

Reviews submitted by other contractors (shown separately below our own review on each tool page) are not paid for or solicited by software vendors. We moderate submissions to filter out spam, not to remove negative feedback.
